All Trains Depart And Return To Steller, Alberta

The magical story comes to life as the train departs Stettler, Alberta for a one hour long round-trip journey to the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™. Once onboard, passengers are served hot chocolate and a cookie treat by Polar Express Chefs, will be presented with a souvenir golden Polar Express ticket, and everyone receives a ceramic souvenir Polar Express mug. During the first leg of the journey to the North Pole passengers read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa will board the train at the North Pole, and during the return trip will walk through each car giving out the “first gift of Christmas” – a silver sleigh bell – to each and every guest on board. Everyone is encourage to join in and sing Christmas carols as the train makes its way back to the Stettler station. Please note: There are bathrooms at the station for use prior and post trip The train ride is one hour long, so please plan accordingly. There will be time to shop in the gift store upon arrival back from the North Pole. Our gift store will be open on the station grounds throughout your visit. Reservations can be arranged by phone using MasterCard or VISA. Although we can sometimes accommodate passengers without reservations, we do sell out and a reservation guarantees seating.

PUBLIC TIME TABLES & RESERVATIONS

Alberta Prairie reserves the right to substitute excursions to destinations other than those shown in this schedule and to use alternative motive of power in case of mechanical failure.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

With the exception of THE POLAR EXPRESS trains cancellations will be accepted up until 24 hours prior to departure. All monies advanced are fully refundable up to one week prior to departure. Cancellations within the last week, but more than twenty-four hours receive a gift certificate with a face value equal to tickets returned and that value will apply to fares on a trip sometime in the future. There are no refunds during the last twenty-four prior to a trip. With less than five (5) days notice, it may not be possible to seat passengers within an existing group. Please try to reserve all seats required with original booking.

THE POLAR EXPRESS CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

THE POLAR EXPRESS train cancellations will be accepted up until 24 hours prior to departure. There are no refunds, cancellations or change dates with less than 24 hours notice. With more than 24 hours notice reservation dates can be changed to another date or time subject to a $10 per ticket service fee. Cancellations with more than 24 hours will have a 50 per cent refund posted to a credit card., conditional on the return of unused train tickets prior to January 31, 2020.

THE POLAR EXPRESS VALUE PACK CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Except under special circumstances there are no refunds, cancellations or change dates allowed with less than 24 hours notice of THE POLAR EXPRESS VALUE PACK Train reservations. With more than 24 hours notice reservation dates can be changed to another VALUE PACK date or time at no charge. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will have a full refund posted to a credit card., conditional on the return of unused train tickets prior to January 31, 2020. These terms and conditions are only available on reservations made for the following dates: Sunday, November 24, Wednesday, December 11, Thursday, December 12, Tuesday, December 17, and Wednesday, December 18.

ALBERTA PRAIRIE COUNTRY DINNERS

Dinners are buffet style, served at the hall in community named and are prepared by the people of that community. Meals usually include either Alberta beef, roast turkey or home cooked and sliced ham, turkey or beef, potatoes, rolls, salads, vegetables and dessert.

RECOMMENDED TRAVEL TIMES

Alberta Prairie recommends that you allow yourself enough time for a leisurely drive to Stettler – one hour from Red Deer, two and one-half hours from Edmonton, or three hours from Calgary.
