You will feel the heat and smell the coal burning as model steam engine enthusiasts come together to display their fascinating creations. Add in heritage equipment, pump engines plus classic cars, and you have an event unlike any other. The second day of this show will take place Sunday, July 14. Canadian Northern Railway was Canada’s second national railway and Big Valley was the Division Point on CNoR main north/south line in the Province of Alberta. Passengers are invited to join with members of the Canadian Northern Society in learning about and appreciating the rail infrastructure remaining in the village from the hayday of railway expansion. This trip includes a Taco in a Bag or hamburger on a bun buffet style meal, live on board entertainment, time to visit Jimmy Jock Board, All That Buzz and the many museums and historic sites in the Village of Big Valley, and likely experience a robbery by the horse mounted Reynolds Raiders.
